Two analysts: We accompany Netanyahu, these two men to Washington reveals his intentions policy

The visit of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the United States is of great importance, two weeks after US President Donald Trump officially assumed his duties, and the Send of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.

The writer and political analyst Ihab Jabareen believes that the IDF Minister of Strategic Affairs, Ron Dermer, and the new chief of staff of the army, Eyal Zamir, holds remarkable connotations and messages that reveal his intentions in the coming period.

According to Israeli media, Netanyahu put Dermer at the head of the Israeli negotiating crew with the mediators and the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), regarding the second and third phases of the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement.

On Saturday, the Netanyahu office announced the appointment of Eyal Zamir as head of the Israeli Army Staff, to succeed Hervi Halevi, who resigned on January 21, against the backdrop of failure on October 7, 2023.

By taking these two men, Netanyahu wants to send a message that he has “new war and military plans that can change the fait accompli”, especially with the photos from Gaza at the handover ceremony of Israeli prisoners, according to Jabareen.

Jabareen also expressed his conviction that Netanyahu wants to say that he has a new chief of staff who trusts his military capabilities, and therefore “holds the previous military level responsible for what happened.”

Netanyahu realizes – according to Jabareen – that the upcoming negotiations will be between him and the American administration, noting that Dermer is an acceptable face for the Republicans and is good at addressing them well.

He pointed out that Netanyahu does not dodge the issue of the Palestinian prisoners after the release of Israeli prisoners, suggesting that he is a Cinemor in invisible matters such as the relief and humanitarian protocol in order to buy time.

In turn, the researcher in the political and strategic affairs, Saeed Ziyad, said that Israel does not adhere to the relief and humanitarian part of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, as it did not allow the entry of ambulances and heavy equipment, and hospitals, health centers and other requirements were not qualified.

Ziad expressed his conviction that Israel wants to create a life -repellent environment in the Gaza Strip, and makes this a ground for the second stage negotiations, not building on what was previously accomplished.

He suggested that several problems at the next negotiating table, which is crowded with files, including the exchange of prisoners, was sustained, stressing that this will embarrass Netanyahu in front of the Americans, especially in light of Hamas’s commitment to the agreement.

Netanyahu, who went to Washington on Sunday, said that he would discuss with Trump during its White House list on Tuesday, what he described as critical issues, including the file of negotiations in Gaza and Hamas, and the return of all Israeli detainees from Gaza.

The American Axius correspondent stated that negotiations on the second stage of the prisoner deal were supposed to be resumed tomorrow, Monday, but Netanyahu decided not to send the negotiating team to Qatar before its meeting with Trump.

On January 19, the ceasefire between the Palestinian resistance and the Israeli occupation began to take effect, and it will continue in its first stage 42 days, during which negotiation will be negotiated to start a second stage and then a third through Qatar, Egypt and the United States.
