Hajj «2025» How does artificial intelligence make an unprecedented spiritual experience?

Manal Al -Husaini
With the approach of the Hajj season (1446) – (2025), the attention of the Islamic world is directed towards Makkah Al -Mukarramah, not only with the spirituality of the place, but also with amazement of the qualitative shift in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the management of Hajj through artificial intelligence techniques.
In light of the Kingdom’s 2030 vision, the Hajj organization has become a technical and humanitarian challenge at the same time, as technology cooperates with faith to provide a safer, smooth and conscious experience for the guests of Rahman.
– A smart platform for crowd management: Read the moment before it happens
The competent authorities are working to operate advanced artificial intelligence systems that monitor the movement of crowds through cameras and computer vision techniques, to analyze data in actual time and direct the flow of pilgrims in circumambulation, pursuit and Jamarat Bridge.
Advanced algorithms are not satisfied with monitoring, but rather predicted the positions of crowding in advance, and suggesting alternative paths, to distribute numbers safely, while maintaining the flow in performing the rituals.
Manarat 2: Intelligence speaking in the languages of pilgrims
In May 2025, the second edition of the “Manarat Al -Haramain” robot was launched, which provides immediate legal advice in 11 different languages, including Arabic, English, Malaysian and Bengali, allowing pilgrims of different nationalities easily communicating and obtaining accurate answers to their legal inquiries.
The robot is characterized by the ability to communicate directly with scientists and fabrications through video calls, which enhances the credibility of the fatwas and the speed of access to them.
Smart systems for hygiene and sustainability
Smart hygiene initiatives began in the Hajj season 1445 AH (2024 AD) using smart brooms and robots to purify the sanctuary floors, with the employment of robots to distribute the automatic Zamzam water packages, to reduce crowding and improve the quality of hygiene.
In the Hajj 2025 Hajj season, the Kingdom continues to expand these initiatives through smart waste management systems, such as pressing electrical funds and ground stores, as well as treating the waste of slaughtering according to the highest environmental sustainability standards, to ensure a clean and sustainable environment in the holy sites.
Safety technology: invisible but effective protection
Facial recognition systems accelerate the process of identifying missing pilgrims, as well as improving communications between emergency and field health teams.
Artificial intelligence guarantees an emergency response speed and reduces risk, which enhances the safety of pilgrims in an unprecedented way.
All of this is a strategic shift in the service of the guests of Rahman.
What the Kingdom plans this year not only to use technology, but is an integrated application of a national vision that enhances the pilgrimage experience to become a safe, organized, and human journey with distinction.
While hearts turn towards the Kaaba, minds with artificial intelligence technology ensure a spiritual journey free of obstacles, full of tranquility and faith.
