Destruction of shelter centers is an Israeli plan to complete the goals of “Gideon” policy

Gaza- The Israeli intelligence officer, the displaced people at the Jaffa School in Gaza City, called for only 30 minutes to evacuate it in preparation for its destruction with the war rockets, which led to a state of fear and dismay among the thousands of who left it to rush, leaving their luggage, and spent long hours in the street in search of a new shelter for them.

The same scene was repeated last June in more than 11 schools taken by the displaced shelter, in an indication of an Israeli plan aimed at emptying large areas of Gaza, and restricting more than two million Palestinians with no more than 20% of the total area of the destroyed sector.

Fast pace

The pace of Israeli targeting increased during the last week of the shelters significantly, which constituted a great pressure on the residents of the Gaza Strip, and thousands of them were forced to set their tents in the streets and on the seashore, in the absence of the lowest ingredients for life, the lack of drinking water and daily use.

IDPs complain of the frequency of movement from one place to another in search of lost safety, as the Israeli army continues to be pursued even in the shelters, most of which follow the UNRWA.

The emergency committees in the sector estimate the average number of displaced people in each school that turned into a shelter center of more than 4 thousand people.

In this context, the Director General of the Government Media Office in Gaza said Ismail Al -Thawbata, The Israeli occupation forces targeted 256 shelters since the beginning of their war on Gaza, which included more than 700,000 displaced people, who were deprived of the simplest elements of life, after the occupation destroyed their homes and housing units along the Strip, which makes targeting them again in the shelter centers a double crime.

Al -Thawmatta confirmed in an interview with Al -Jazeera Net that the occupation deliberately targeting the shelter centers because it includes thousands of displaced people, which means that its destruction is enough to displace a large number of targeted areas, and thus work to empty large areas of the Gaza Strip under intimidation and the threat of death.

He explained that the collective punishment imposed by the Israeli occupation on the inhabitants of Gaza comes within the continuous genocide for more than 21 months, and the pursuit of safe families who resorted to shelter centers after the occupation destroyed their homes.

Earth control

As it accelerates the evacuation of residential areas and the displacement of their residents and the displaced in them, the Israeli army intentionally destroyed dozens of high buildings that include hundreds of Palestinians, which increased the number of Palestinians who lost their homes, and started an arduous mission to search for alternative accommodation.

The evacuation orders published by the occupation army extended about 282.8 square kilometers from the sector, representing 78% of its total area, which is estimated at 364.8 square kilometers, according to Sanad News Agency for Al -Jazeera.

The Israeli occupation forces restricted the residents of the Strip into narrow areas represented in the western areas of Gaza City, in the middle of the Gaza Strip, and the Western city of Khan Yunis, in a way that is identical to the goals of the “Gideon vehicles” military operation that the Israeli army began in mid -May by occupying large parts of the Strip.

In this context, the Hebrew Channel 14 quoted the Israeli army to inform the political level that it controls 60% of the Gaza Strip and within two to three weeks it will control 80%. This is at a time when UNRWA said that more than 82% of the Gaza regions are subject to the orders of displacement and people do not find a place they resort to.

A recent research paper indicated by the Center for Studies in Gaza, that the Israeli policy seeks to impose new demographic facts through continuous bombing, and to impose banned or buffer areas on the ground, especially in the north and east, and is prohibited to return to it even after the end of operations.

New reality

The director of the “Center for Political and Development Studies” in Gaza believes Rami Khreis, The last stage of the Israeli war on the Strip is witnessing a systematic escalation in targeting civil and residential infrastructure, as it became clear that the military targets are no longer limited to hitting the combat capabilities of the Palestinian factions, but rather towards targets of a long -term demographic and strategic nature.

Khreis told Al -Jazeera Net that the destruction of towers and residential groups indicates the desire of the occupation to empty specific areas of its residents, as part of an organized policy aimed at reshaping the demographics of the sector.

He explained that the repeated targeting of shelter centers that houses tens of thousands of displaced people increases the clarity of this trend, explains the attempt to prevent the reprehensibility of the population in specific areas, and pushing them into frequent waves of internal displacement, or even towards migration outside the Strip.

According to Khreis, the declared goal of an Israeli is to “eliminate resistance”, but the unannounced goals seem wider and are to dismantle the population fabric, and to create a new geographical and population reality that prevents the reconstruction of civil life in its previous form, including converting areas such as Shuja’ia, Rafah and North Gaza into empty areas of the population or extended insulating areas.

The director of the Center for Studies noted that, in light of a comprehensive destruction of the infrastructure, it becomes difficult to imagine the return of life to what it was.

Also, the population is focused in specific areas such as Al -Ma’idah in the southern Gaza Strip, Deir Al -Balah and some parts of Nuseirat and Al -Maghazi in the center – according to Khreis – enhances the imposition of the “Gaza” model, or “cantons”, in preparation for a political formula after the war that does not include the return of Palestinian control over the entire Gaza Strip.

He pointed out that what is going on on the ground is not just a military battle, but rather is a forced re -drawing of the demographic map in the sector, within the framework of a policy that relies on oppression, destruction, starvation and frequent displacement, in order to impose a new reality under the title “Israeli security”, but at the expense of the Palestinian right to life, survival and return.
