Haaretz: The political class in Israel is going behind Netanyahu towards the abyss policy

In an article published by the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, the writer likened the return of the political class of the political class in Israel to a herd of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu towards the abyss, in reference to the absence of conscious leadership and the state of blind collective submission in the political arena.
The writer said that he saw a video circulating on the network showing an Iraqi shepherd who drives his herd towards the river and then jumps in the water and the dog follows him, then the sheep jumps one by one, in an ideal order.
He added that there is another video that offers a story similar to animation, but on a ship at sea, where poor animals jump enthusiastically in the depths of the sea.
He commented, “I regret that I cannot enter into the mind of the sheep that jumps with enthusiasm or surrender behind the shepherd and his loyal dog. Is it a blind submission to the leader? Or is social pressure? Or is it the fear that the group’s rules will be broken?”
“Bibi said”
The writer also confirms that the political reality in Israel reminds him of a famous game of childhood known as “Hassan said”, where the players obey orders only when they start with the phrase “Hassan said”, while losing someone who obeys something that this sentence does not precede.
Bisharat considered that this game is played today in the Israeli political scene, but its name is “Bibi said”.
The writer believes that Israel boasts of its democracy and the multiplicity of opinions in it is only a false claim because these opinions are empty and lack depth and do not discuss the most important issue, that is, the way to end the conflict with the Palestinians.
He pointed out that the almost complete consensus between the major parties to refuse to recognize the Palestinian state exposes the collective deficit from making fateful decisions that exceed the slogans of pluralism.
Becharat’s return: If Netanyahu said that he will not recognize the Palestinian state, he will jump behind him, Yair Lapid, then Benni Gantz, then the rest of the opposition without any thinking
No solutions
The writer says that, in light of the silence of the Israeli political class of famine in Gaza, with the exception of Knesset member Gilad Karif, and the absence of any ideas to resolve the crisis and foreseeing the next day of the war, he felt some optimism a few days ago when he found an article for former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak entitled “An emergency call”, but soon his hopes were dispelled when he finished reading the article and did not find any practical plan or idea to get out of the crisis.
As for the remainder of “Ansar al -Salam”, the writer described them as the saying of the Islamic leader Tariq bin Ziyad “orphans on the tables of harmony”, indicating that they are isolated, without support or political back, such as the Knesset member, leftist Ofer Kisif, who was mediated by the media because of his bold stances supported by an accurate historical knowledge of the Palestinian -Israeli conflict.
