The Gaza agreement is imminent… and I may go to the Middle East on Sunday

Agencies – Capitals:
US President Donald Trump announced that he may go to the Middle East at the end of the week if an agreement is concluded to end the war in Gaza. Trump said yesterday evening, Wednesday, that the negotiations with Hamas seem to be going well. I was just dealing with officials regarding the Gaza deal, and we are getting very close.
He added, “The matter is very imminent, and I may travel to the Middle East on Sunday. All Islamic and Arab countries are involved in the matter, and this has never happened before.”
Yesterday, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi invited his American counterpart Trump to attend the signing of the “Gaza Agreement” in Egypt once it is reached. In his speech during the graduation ceremony for a new batch of police academy students, El-Sisi said: “President Trump sent his envoys with a clear mandate to work on ending the Gaza war.” He added: “I am sending a message to President Trump to continue his support for reaching an agreement on Gaza… and I invite him to attend the signing of the Gaza Agreement in Egypt if it is reached.”
Talks continue in Sharm El-Sheikh between Hamas and Israel to end the war in Gaza, amid cautious optimism about the nearness of reaching an agreement on a ceasefire.
Sources indicated that the outstanding points regarding the lists of prisoners are still ongoing at the present time, and Israel initially rejected the names Hamas requested to be released, as Tel Aviv adheres to a “veto” on the release of some of the prisoners proposed by the movement.
For its part, Hamas has reservations about Israel’s adherence to this “veto” on the lists of prisoners.
The sources revealed that Israel requested time to study the possibility of handing over the bodies of Yahya Al-Sinwar and his brother Muhammad. While Hamas requested guarantees that Israel would not re-arrest the Palestinian prisoners scheduled to be released from its prisons, the mediators stressed to Israel the difficulty of handing over all the bodies of the deceased Israeli prisoners in Gaza on time.
