Trump threatens Hamas to resume military action in Gaza

Agencies – Capitals:
US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that he may allow Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to resume military action in Gaza if Hamas does not adhere to its side of the ceasefire agreement.
Trump added in a statement to the American CNN network that Israeli forces could return to the streets in Gaza as soon as I utter the word, and continued: “What happens with Hamas will be resolved quickly.”
Trump’s statements came at a time when Israel accuses Hamas of not adhering to the Sharm El-Sheikh Agreement, which stipulates the handover of living hostages and the bodies of the dead as part of the agreement to end the fighting in Gaza.
This has caused anger to mount within Israel, with authorities informing the United Nations that they will reduce or delay humanitarian aid shipments to Gaza, due to the small number of hostage bodies that have been delivered.
The fourth clause of Trump’s 20-point peace plan stated: “Within 72 hours of Israel’s public acceptance of this agreement, all hostages, alive and dead, will be handed over.”
On a related level, Egyptian media reported that 200 aid trucks had entered the Gaza Strip through the Kerem Shalom crossing, and said that hundreds of trucks within the humanitarian aid convoy were waiting to enter the Gaza Strip through the Karm Shalom and Al-Awja crossings, which are concerned with the entry of aid into the besieged Strip, to be subject to a mechanism of scrutiny and review by the Israeli occupation authorities that may allow or prevent entry.
