Fears of a new nuclear arms race policy
The United States and Russia are once again at the forefront of the nuclear weapons competition, hours after Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the success of a nuclear torpedo test.
In turn, US President Donald Trump announced that he had ordered the immediate start of testing the nuclear weapons arsenal, and said that it comes in line with similar steps taken by other countries.
Technically, these experiments allow the United States to know the impact of any new nuclear weapon being developed, and to measure the effectiveness of the weapons in its arsenal.
