Lavrov accuses Ukraine of targeting Putin’s residence

Agencies – Moscow:
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov accused Ukraine of launching a drone attack on the residence of President Vladimir Putin, while Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky denied these accusations, while US President Donald Trump expressed his shock at the information that Putin conveyed to him regarding the incident.
Lavrov announced yesterday, Monday, that Ukraine launched a terrorist attack with drones on the residence of the Russian President in the Novgorod region, noting that Russian air defense systems destroyed all the drones that attacked the presidential residence.
Meanwhile, TASS reported, citing Lavrov, that Moscow had determined the target and timing of the Russian counterattack after the attempted attack on Putin’s residence, stressing that Moscow would, as a result, change its position in the negotiations aimed at ending the war in Ukraine.
For his part, the Ukrainian President denied the Russian accusations that spoke of targeting the residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin, describing them as “lies.” He said: Russia seeks to undermine the progress achieved in the Ukrainian-American talks, accusing Moscow of using media and military escalation to put pressure on the negotiation process.
