An American soldier admits to helping ISIS kill his comrades
The US Department of Justice announced that a US soldier pleaded guilty Wednesday to terrorism charges for trying to help the Islamic State carry out an ambush that killed US soldiers in the Middle East.
The ministry added in a statement that the soldier, from Ohio, pleaded guilty to attempting to provide “material support” to a foreign organization designated by Washington as a terrorist organization, as well as attempting to help ISIS attack and kill American soldiers.
In January 2021, a Moroccan official said that his country provided accurate information to Washington, which contributed to the arrest of an American soldier linked to the terrorist organization “ISIS”.
At the time, the intelligence source did not provide details on how to know these trends, nor did he explain his country’s relationship with the 20-year-old American soldier, who was serving in the 3rd Infantry Division, in the US state of Georgia.
