Reporting problems with WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram applications

A global outage affected, on Friday evening, the social networking sites Facebook and Instagram, and the instant communication application WhatsApp.

Down Detector, which tracks internet outages, said problems had been reported with WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram.

The British newspaper “The Sun” also reported that users are having difficulty using these applications.

Instagram users reported that they were finding it difficult to send messages, while WhatsApp users complained that they were unable to upload photos.

Facebook users reported that the site only displays banners and does not load fully.

It is noteworthy that WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram are all owned by Meta.
