The majority of Americans are worried about another Biden term
A new American poll showed that two out of three people are concerned about the mental and physical health of US President Joe Biden.
The NBC News poll found that 68 percent are concerned that the 80-year-old Biden does not have the “necessary” mental and physical health to serve as president. The poll also showed that the majority of Americans, nearly 55 percent, said they had “significant” fears. And 32 percent said they had little or no concerns about Biden’s health.
When asked if they were concerned about former President Trump’s mental and physical health, 55 percent said they were concerned, including 44 percent having “major concerns.” While 44 percent said they had minor or no concerns that an adult Trump would Age 77, mentally and physically fit to hold the position of President.
Sixty percent of respondents also said they worried about Biden being re-elected to serve four more years in the White House, including 46 percent who reported “significant” concerns. Fifty-eight percent answered the same way about Trump, including 51 percent who said they had “significant” concerns.
The poll, conducted after Trump was indicted by the Justice Department on charges related to his handling of classified materials, found that Trump had a comfortable lead over his opponents in the 2024 Republican presidential primaries, and that his lead has grown since then.
The poll also found that nearly half of Republicans want Trump to continue as their party’s leader.
