It contains a proportion of comedy interspersed with action scenes, in which he always shines. It is the artist, Amir Karara, who confirmed in his interview with Al-Arabiya.net that since reading the film he was impressed with it, and he started working on it since last November, and that the film needed physical and mental effort, stressing that he was keen to present a different cinematic work, indicating that ” Sultan the Bogeyman, which he presents in the film, is one of the characters who suffer in life and does not look at his heart at all because all that occupies him is “money” and collecting money only.

How did you find the response to the film?

** I was pleased with what I have received so far about the movie, and if the reactions that I received since the beginning of the movie trailer show confirm everything that is happening now, then the experience of the movie “The Boogeyman” is a variety between the idea of ​​​​action and comedy, as this movie suits the atmosphere of the feast and the family, as it is It fits many age groups and does not address a specific group, so I waited for the audience’s reaction with great anticipation.

What motivated you to agree to submit this work?

** The movie is different from the works that I presented before, especially since it is the first time I present a social comedy work, and the truth is that the author Ihab Blebel presented to me some time ago the script for the movie “The Boogeyman”, and when I read it I laughed out loud, as I liked the plot and details of the movie, and I told him that I wanted I made this movie because it is new and different and I have not done it before. By chance, after that, I met director Hussein Al-Manbawi and told him that I wanted to present a movie that would be different, and he assured me of the same feeling, then I sent him the script of the movie, and I waited for his opinion. He called and stayed a few hours later and warned me not to leave this movie, then we started filming after 6 months, as the film was shown to me in March 2022, and we started filming last November.

* Tell us about the character “Sultan” that you present in the events of the film?

** The last movie I presented was in 2019, which is the movie “Casablanca”, and I would love to return to the cinema with a different character from “Omar Al-Murr”, and when Ihab Blebel presented the movie to me, I found the character “Sultan the Boogeyman” comic, but in a slightly different way from the works that I presented. . In the film, “Sultan the Boogeyman” is one of the characters who suffers in life from “lack of education” and does not look at his heart at all because all that preoccupies him is how to collect money only. He left crime with his friend “Soca” in the midst of many funny and dangerous situations.

How did you find cooperation with the work team?

** The film is the second collaboration between me and director Hussein Al-Manbawi, after the series “Souk El Kanto”, which was shown during the last Ramadan drama season, and it represents the first collaboration between me and Yasmine Sabry in the cinema. Her participation in the film is the best participation and experience for me, as she is a beautiful woman and a wonderful actress. I am happy with the experience with her, and God willing, it will not be our last experience together because she is comfortable at work.

I was also pleased to work with the great artist Enaam Salousa, and her appearance was certainly different in the film, and there are many surprises at work, and all the actors appeared in a completely different way than the audience is used to.

* The movie “The Bogeyman” brings together for the first time the names of Samra and Rehab El-Gamal, after the many problems that brought them together?

** There are no problems between Bassem Samra and Rehab El-Gamal, and there are no scenes that bring them together in the movie.

*”Canto Market” has achieved the success you expected from it?

** I am happy to present the series “The Canto Market” during the Ramadan season 2023, although the work did not take its right to the Ramadan competition, as everything in the series was limited to even laughter. I had the feeling that I was very old, and I was annoyed with myself with the high mustache, and the director Hussein Al-Manbawi himself was showing the sweet Egypt, the women walking in the streets undisturbed while wearing dresses above the knee, normal without problems, and it is possible that the series is not the nature of the show in Ramadan.

But he got his right after Ramadan, and there is a quality of people who watched it and were impressed by it, but Ramadan has its circumstances and people love gathering and anticipating events and events in Sokhna, but the “kanto market” was a different situation and he wanted someone to understand it. And someone told me that he considered this series “a need for your history.” We cannot present everything similar to each other, and there is more than one series that achieved great success this year.
