It has been fruitful over the past few days
As the Russian military operation in Ukraine continues today, Tuesday, a senior Ukrainian official said that Ukraine’s counterattack against Russian forces has been “particularly fruitful” in the past few days And the Ukrainian forces are fulfilling the main tasks.
The comments by Oleksiy Danilov, secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council, are Kiev’s latest positive assessment of the counteroffensive, which began a month ago, even though Moscow does not acknowledge that Ukraine is making gains.
Russia, which launched a military operation in Ukraine in February 2022, still controls large swaths of territory in eastern and southern Ukraine, but Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Monday that Ukrainian forces had made progress after a “difficult” week.
“At this stage, which is witnessing continuous combat operations, the defense forces of Ukraine are achieving the first task, which is to destroy the largest possible number of manpower, equipment, fuel depots, military vehicles, command posts, artillery and air forces of the Russian army,” Danilov wrote on Twitter. “The past few days have been particularly fruitful,” he added, without giving any details about the battlefield.

Malyar said Ukrainian forces had recaptured 37.4 square kilometers of territory in fierce fighting in a week.
Andrei Kovalev, a spokesman for the Ukrainian army, said today, Tuesday, that Ukraine continues to put pressure on Russian forces north and south of Bakhmut, and that it has achieved “partial success” despite fierce Russian resistance and fierce fighting.
He added that the Ukrainian army succeeded in repelling the attempt to advance by the Russian forces in the directions of Liman, Avdiivka and Marinka in eastern Ukraine.
He was unable to verify the situation on the battlefield, as each side says the other is suffering heavy losses.
Russia said on Tuesday that Ukraine had attacked Moscow with at least five drones that were shot down or intercepted, and one of the capital’s main airports had to reroute flights for a few hours.
