6 dead in an attack on a children’s nursery in southern China..and the perpetrator was arrested

Six people were killed and another injured in an attack on a kindergarten in Liangyang, in southern China’s Guangdong Province, on Monday, according to a spokeswoman for the city government.

She said, “Among the victims are a teacher, two parents, and three students…and a suspect was arrested.”

The BBC reported, quoting the police, that a stabbing incident took place in the kindergarten, and that the victims were killed.

The police indicated that the arrested man was 25 years old, and that they were investigating the cause of the attack. The police did not reveal any details, but described the incident as “premeditated assault”.
