And the Supreme Council of State in Libya announced on Tuesday the acceptance of the “road map” proposal regarding the implementation of electoral laws in principle.

For his part, a member of the Supreme Council of State, Fathallah al-Sariri, said recently that a roadmap for the implementation of the electoral laws proposed by the (6 + 6) committee provides for the formation of a mini-government limited to sovereign ministries, so that the number of ministerial portfolios does not exceed 12.
A spokesman for the Libyan House of Representatives (Parliament), Abdullah Blehaq, announced on Tuesday the postponement of the parliament session, which was scheduled to be held on July 25, for “further consultation on agenda items.”

On Monday, Blehaq announced the suspension of the parliament session to discuss the proposal of the 6 + 6 joint committee with the State Council regarding the implementation path of the election laws until Tuesday, before it was postponed again.
The Libyan platform (Fawasil) quoted a copy of the road map as a proposal to start forming the unified government immediately after the adoption of the map by the Council of State and Representatives, provided that the door for candidacy to head the new government opens for a period of 20 days.
