We do not need any cooperation with Washington.. ISIS is a sedition
The Minister of Defense in the Taliban government in Afghanistan, Muhammad Yaqoub Mujahid, demanded that the world recognize the Taliban “after implementing what was asked of us,” refusing to cooperate or negotiate with Washington.
We have no advisors from al-Qaeda.
He added, in an exclusive interview with Al-Arabiya, that the Taliban will not allow anyone to threaten the world from inside Afghanistan, noting that the UN reports on the presence of al-Qaeda elements as our advisors are wrong.
He also added that the Taliban do not need any kind of cooperation or negotiation with Washington, pointing out that Afghanistan has long borders with Iran, “and we do not want any problems with it or with our neighbors.”

He said that the Taliban government pledged not to use the territory of Afghanistan to launch attacks on any country, pointing out that most of the planes that penetrate the airspace of Afghanistan come from Pakistan.

And he considered that ISIS is a sedition for the Islamic nation, and we dealt strong blows to ISIS Khorasan in Afghanistan, stressing that there is no ISIS member among the ranks of the Taliban.

He denied the Taliban’s involvement in targeting al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri in the Afghan capital, Kabul, adding, “We did not kill anyone without trial, but there were those who were killed during the confrontations.”
“We didn’t pay any attention to Ashraf Ghani”
He also stressed that the Taliban did not order the killing of former President Ashraf Ghani after the American withdrawal, “indeed, we did not pay him any attention.”
While the Taliban’s defense minister held the United States responsible for the chaos that occurred after its withdrawal with Afghanistan, stressing, “We agreed with the Americans about two things only, the complete exit of American forces from Afghanistan, and the non-use of Afghan lands against them.”
“Saudi Arabia is a leading country”
He said that Saudi Arabia is an important leadership country, “and we look forward to playing a role in the future of our country.”
It is noteworthy that in August 2021, the Taliban seized the Afghan capital, Kabul, and overthrew the government of former President Ashraf Ghani without significant resistance by the Afghan army, which was supported by the United States.
The movement wrote a new chapter in the rule of Afghanistan and returned to power again, as it previously ruled the country before its fall in 2001.
