The arrest of the perpetrators of the assassination of the director of the World Food Program

Today, Saturday, the security information center of the Yemeni police in Taiz governorate stated that the security services managed to seize the two perpetrators Agent to assassinate the director of the food program team Global Moayad Hamidi.

And the advisor to the security director of Taiz governorate, Yahya Al-Atwani, had previously stated that the identity of the perpetrators of the attack, which led to the killing of the head of the World Food Program team, had been identified.

Al-Atwani added that the security services are tracking them, stressing that the competent authorities have a solid plan to secure officials of international organizations.

Muaydi Hamidi, head of the World Food Program team in Taiz, was killed yesterday, Friday, and a number of Yemeni citizens were injured by unknown gunmen in the Turbah area, which is under the control of the internationally recognized government in the southwestern governorate of Yemen.

Moayad Hamidi, who holds a Jordanian passport, had arrived in the city a few days ago, to start exercising his duties as head of the program in the city.

It is noteworthy that this is the second international official to be assassinated in Taiz since April 2018, when a Lebanese employee working for the Red Cross was killed by unknown gunmen in the Al-Dabab area at the southwestern entrance to the city of Taiz.
