Russia.. Nine years imprisonment for an ally of Navalny
The former coordinator of Alexei Navalny’s movement has been sentenced to nine years in prison after being found guilty of “extremism”, according to the team of Russia’s most prominent opposition.
Vadim Ostanin, who headed the Lieutenant General’s office, was put on trial Navalny in the city of Barnaul, Siberian Altai region, on charges of “participation in an extremist organization”.

Ustinin was pressured by investigators to force him to sign confessions in exchange for interviewing his relatives while he was in detention, but he refused to confess, according to what Navalny’s movement confirmed.
In a letter, Vadim Ostanin said he was being held in an unsanitary cell in Barnaul. Ostanin lost 15 kilograms in prison and suffers from back and head pain, according to Navalny’s team.
