Maine shooting: Police urge public to shelter as armed man at large | News

Police have urged people in Lewiston, Maine, to shelter in place as authorities searched for an “armed and dangerous” suspect of a mass shooting.

“Police are currently searching for a Robert R. Card 4/4/1983 of Bowdoin. Card is considered armed and dangerous… If people see him, they should not approach Card or make contact with him in any way,” Department of Public Safety commissioner Mike Sauschuck said.

At least 16 people were shot and killed at a restaurant and a bowling alley in Lewiston on Wednesday before a suspect fled into the night.
