Hezbollah announces its response to an Israeli infiltration attempt
Agencies – Capitals:
The Lebanese “Hezbollah” announced that it “confronted” an Israeli force that attempted to infiltrate the border town of Adissa, and “forced it to withdraw.” The Israeli army spokesman announced that “violent fighting” was taking place in southern Lebanon.
The announcement by both parties comes a day after conflicting reports about the Israeli army beginning a ground operation with the aim of imposing a buffer zone on the border.
The party said, in a statement, that its fighters “inflicted losses on the enemy,” but it was not possible to verify the authenticity of this announcement, noting, in a separate statement, that Hezbollah members also targeted Israeli forces at three different points, across the border, with missiles and artillery. .
The party said, in a later statement, that its members targeted Israeli forces, south of Kiryat Shmona, with missile weapons. He confirmed that his members attacked Israeli army gatherings, south of Kiryat Shmona, with a missile launcher, and “confirmed casualties.”
Hezbollah members also targeted Israeli forces in the Shumira barracks and in the Israeli colonies of Shtula and Maskvam with missile weapons.
On the other hand, the Israeli army spokesman, Avichay Adraee, said on the Facebook platform, on Wednesday morning, that “violent fighting is taking place in southern Lebanon,” accusing the party of “exploiting the civilian environment and civilians as shields for its attacks.”
He warned the residents of southern Lebanon against “moving in vehicles from the north of the Litani River to its south,” threatening that “the army will work to disrupt the movements of Hezbollah members and prevent them from carrying out their attacks.” He called for the warning to be considered “effective until further notice.”
