“Islamic Cooperation” calls on countries to join the “two-state solution coalition”

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation called on all countries to join the historic political initiative launched by Saudi Arabia for the international coalition to implement the two-state solution, saying that it constitutes a political protection network for the vision of the two-state solution in accordance with international law and the United Nations Charter and its resolutions, and embodies a commitment to support efforts aimed at ending the Israeli occupation and establishing… The Palestinian state, and achieving just, comprehensive and lasting peace in the region.
The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Hussein Ibrahim Taha, stressed the importance of launching the international coalition to implement the two-state solution, which Saudi Arabia announced with its partners, during the high-level meeting on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly at its 79th session in New York City, USA.
The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation renewed his call on countries that have not recognized the State of Palestine to quickly join the international consensus represented by 149 countries that recognize Palestine, and to support its right to obtain full membership in the United Nations, in a way that enhances its legitimacy and political and legal status, and contributes to consolidating the rights of the people. The inalienable Palestinian right, including its right to self-determination, and the embodiment of the establishment of its independent and sovereign state along the lines of June 4, 1967, with its capital, Al-Quds Al-Sharif.
