Watch.. A child uses prayers while carrying gallons of water in Gaza | news
A video clip documented the cry of a child in the Gaza Strip as he prayed for God to provide him with strength, while carrying two large gallons of water. This confirms the great suffering that the residents of the Gaza Strip are experiencing due to the Israeli policy of aggression that uses firearms and the weapon of starvation to punish the Palestinians.
Today, Wednesday, journalist Yahya Al-Awadiya published a video clip on his Instagram account of a barefoot child who used prayers to lighten the weight of the gallons of water on his thin body, saying before carrying it, “Give me strength, O God.”
Al-Awadiya commented on the video, saying, “This child is crying out for help and asking God for strength to raise the waters… Oh God, protect the children of Gaza and northern Gaza.”
The Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, warned a few days ago of the possibility of famine in the northern Gaza Strip, which has witnessed an Israeli siege and ethnic cleansing since last October 5, while Israel rejected the warning of famine.
Lazzarini expressed his regret that the possibility of famine “is not surprising,” noting that Israel has used hunger as a weapon, depriving people in Gaza of the basics, including food, to survive.
He indicated that the aid entering the Gaza Strip is not sufficient, and it averages slightly more than 30 trucks per day, which represents only about 6% of the daily needs of the Palestinians.
In the past weeks, a real crisis began to loom in the central and southern Gaza Strip as well, due to the running out of flour and basic materials from the markets and Palestinian homes, and they were forced to use spoiled flour to feed their families, and search for unhealthy alternatives.
The residents of Gaza and the north in particular suffer from hunger in light of the scarcity of food, water, medicine and fuel, as a result of the siege imposed by Israel on the two governorates since the start of its ground operation on October 27, 2023, which caused the death of a number of children and the elderly.
