Al-Falahi: The occupation army aims to control Tayr Harfa to reach Tyre news

The military and strategic expert, Colonel Hatem Karim Al-Falahi, said that the ground operations carried out by the Israeli army aim to control vital areas in southern Lebanon, especially Tayr Harfa, which it seeks to make a starting point towards the coast, reaching the city of Tyre.

Earlier, on Saturday, the Israeli army called on residents of 15 villages in southern Lebanon to evacuate immediately and head north of the Awali River, and also issued evacuation warnings to residents of areas in and around Tyre, before bombing them.

In an analysis of the military scene on the Lebanon front, Al-Falahi explained that the operations there are based on three main axes, the most prominent of which is led by the 146th Division in the western axis, which is witnessing rapid field developments.

Al-Falahi pointed out that this division is managing operations in axes including Al-Jebeen, Tayr Harfa and Shamaa, where combat legions were formed that included paratrooper and armored brigades, including the 646th Brigade and the Carmel Brigade, with the aim of completely controlling Tayr Harfa, to be a base for launching towards Shamaa and Al-Bayyada, and then dividing the forces to move. Towards Naqoura and Tire.

He indicated that the artillery and air bombardment is intensely focused on the city of Tire, with the aim of evacuating its neighborhoods and achieving strategic superiority that paves the way for coastal control.

He added that these operations are being carried out as part of tactics aimed at creating political pressure on the Lebanese leadership to accept the American initiative, while escalating air and ground attacks on the southern suburbs of Beirut and Tire to increase the pressure.

Interconnection of axes

Al-Falahi explained that the ongoing operations are characterized by interconnectedness between the axes, as the 36th Division operates in the Maroun al-Ras area, while the 91st Division is reinforced with the 55th Brigade of the 98th Division to carry out tasks in the eastern axis towards Taloussa.

The military expert confirmed that the pressure in this axis aims to push the resistance to strengthen its presence, which may allow Israel to create gaps in the defensive positions extending towards Kafr Kila and Markab.

In this context, Al-Falahi believes that the Israeli army is adopting deceptive plans by exploiting military movements to push the resistance to redeploy its forces, indicating that the success of the advance on the western axis will allow the expansion of operations towards Tyre.

But he pointed out that the high losses of the Israeli army on the Lebanese front forced it to modify its tactics, especially with its forces being exposed to ambushes and placing explosive devices in homes, which prompted it to adopt the tactic of destroying homes instead of storming them.

Al-Falahi added that Israel is increasingly relying on paratrooper brigades to secure the advance of mechanized and armored forces, especially with the heavy losses suffered by tanks in Tayr Harfa.

He pointed out that Israeli tactics have become well-known, and revolve around intensive bombing of residential neighborhoods, in a repetition of its approach in the Gaza Strip, where civilian residents are asked to evacuate before their areas are targeted, which indicates that the primary goal is systematic destruction.
