3 soldiers were killed in a roadside bomb explosion in northern Iraq
Agencies – Baghdad:
Security and medical sources in Iraq said that a bomb planted on the side of a road targeted an Iraqi army vehicle, killing three soldiers in northern Iraq.
The attack, which took place near the town of Tuz Khurmato, about 175 kilometers north of the capital, Baghdad, resulted in two serious injuries.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack. But Iraqi security officials said that ISIS militants were active in the area.
Despite the defeat of the organization in 2017, some of its members continued to launch hit-and-run attacks against government forces.
