Palestine deposits documents of ratification of the agreement “regulating transit transport between Arab countries”

Yesterday, the State of Palestine deposited the ratification documents for the “Agreement on Regulating Transit Transport between Arab Countries.” The ratification documents were deposited by the Permanent Representative of the State of Palestine to the Arab League, Ambassador Muhannad Al-Aklouk, who also signed the agreement in the presence of the Assistant Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Head of the Legal Affairs Sector. Ambassador Mohamed Lamine Ould Akik.
Ambassador Al-Aklouk confirmed in his speech after depositing the ratification documents that the amended agreement regulating transit transport between Arab countries and the ratification of the State of Palestine is a step towards enhancing Arab economic integration and facilitating the movement of goods and services between our Arab countries.
Ambassador Al-Aklouk said: “The Israeli occupation imposes a deadly siege on the Palestinian people, whether in the Gaza Strip or the occupied West Bank, but nevertheless we seek, by signing this agreement, to obtain Arab support for the implementation of this agreement and to open all horizons and all methods of transportation and logistical matters with the aim of Activating Arab economic unity and enhancing ways of trade exchange with Arab countries, whether from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan or from the Arab Republic of Egypt on the western side of the State of Palestine and from there to all Arab countries, including by sea. Through the Gaza port, which will be built in the future after the genocide committed by Israel against the Palestinian people ends.”
