Russia is about to recognize North Korea as a “nuclear power”
Agencies – Seoul:
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken announced that Russia is working to expand its cooperation with North Korea in the space field in exchange for Pyongyang sending forces to support Moscow in its war on Ukraine.
Blinken said during a press conference in Seoul, “The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea mainly receives Russian military equipment and training, and we now have reason to believe that Moscow intends to share advanced technology in the field of space and satellites with Pyongyang,” using the official name for North Korea.
He stated that Washington believes that Russia “may be on the verge” of officially recognizing North Korea as a nuclear power, which was previously announced by the US Ambassador to the United Nations, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, last December.
