Dozens of Palestinians were martyred and wounded today, Thursday, in Israeli raids on the Gaza Strip, while the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, announced that it had sniped an Israeli soldier.

Medical sources told Al Jazeera that 22 people were killed in raids on several areas since dawn today, 13 of them in the northern Gaza Strip.

The raids included Jabalia in the north, Nuseirat camp in the center, and Khan Yunis in the south.

In the northern Gaza Strip, 4 Palestinians were martyred and 25 others were injured, most of them women and children, in an Israeli raid that targeted Al-Rafi’i School, which shelters displaced people in Jabalia Al-Balad.

The injured were transferred to Al-Ahly Baptist Hospital, where the conditions of some of them were described as serious.

Palestinian sources also reported raids on other areas in northern Gaza, including the Al-Saftawi area.

Targeting gatherings

In Gaza City, Israeli aircraft carried out raids on several neighborhoods, and an Al Jazeera correspondent reported that three people were killed and others seriously injured in the Beach Camp, west of the city.

Two Palestinians were also martyred and others were injured in an Israeli raid that targeted a gathering of citizens near the Palestine Junction, west of Gaza City. A similar bombing targeted a gathering near Al-Barbari station on Al-Jalaa Street, resulting in one death and two injuries.

In the center of the Gaza Strip, the Nuseirat camp and areas around it were subjected to air strikes and shelling by artillery and gunboats.

In the south of the Gaza Strip, a Palestinian was martyred as a result of the occupation aircraft targeting a motorcycle in the Qaizan al-Najjar area, east of Khan Yunis.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health in Gaza said today that the Israeli occupation committed 3 massacres during the past 24 hours, including 70 martyrs and 104 wounded who arrived in hospitals.

The Ministry explained that the number of martyrs of the Israeli aggression has risen to 46,060 martyrs and 109,378 injured since October 7, 2023.

Reinforcements and dredging

In parallel with the ongoing, relentless bombing, Al Jazeera’s correspondent said that military reinforcements of the occupation forces arrived at Tal al-Zaatar in the Jabalia camp, northern Gaza Strip.

The reporter added that since this morning, these areas have witnessed bulldozing, demolition, and burning of dozens of homes, amid intense gunfire and artillery shelling, especially in the vicinity of Al Awda Hospital.

Special photos from Al Jazeera showed some of the widespread fires set by Israeli forces in dozens of homes around the Abu Aita and Nassar intersections in the Jabalia camp.

The occupation forces continue to burn the remaining homes in Jabalia and Beit Lahia on a daily basis in light of their ongoing military operation in those areas for the 97th day in a row.

Palestinian sources also reported that the occupation forces blew up a residential square in the vicinity of the Indonesian Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip.

Since the fifth of last October, the Israeli army has launched a massive attack in the northern Gaza Strip, which has so far resulted in the death of about 4,000 Palestinians and the injury and displacement of thousands more.

Resistance operations

In military developments, the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, announced today the sniper shooting of an Israeli soldier east of Gaza City

Al-Saraya broadcast scenes that it said were of the detonation of an Israeli military vehicle with a “piercing device” near the Civil Administration, east of the Jabalia refugee camp, in the northern Gaza Strip.

Meanwhile, battles continue in the northern Gaza Strip between the occupation forces and the resistance.

Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper said that 10 soldiers had been killed since the start of the latest operation in Beit Hanoun about two weeks ago.
