The Palestinian presidency refuses to displace the residents of Gaza.. and Al-Safadi: Jordan is for the Jordanians

Al Jazeera – Agencies:
The Palestinian presidency affirmed its strong rejection of projects to displace the people of the Gaza Strip, noting the need to focus at this stage on stabilizing and sustaining the ceasefire.
She said: She is ready to assume her full duties in the Gaza Strip, offering her thanks to Egypt and Jordan for their stances rejecting the displacement of the Palestinian people.
The Palestinian statement came after US President Donald Trump proposed yesterday to transfer Palestinians from Gaza to some neighboring Arab countries, in reference to Egypt and Jordan.
Speaking to reporters from aboard his presidential plane, Trump said: Jordan and Egypt must receive more Palestinians, especially since the Gaza Strip is completely destroyed and in a state of complete chaos.
Trump’s proposal coincided with the preparation of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians to return to their homes in northern Gaza, in implementation of the ceasefire agreement signed by Israel and Hamas last week, but the Israeli army has so far prevented their return to the north, stipulating the release of the Israeli soldier Erbil Yehud.
In Jordan’s first comment, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Al-Safadi reiterated his rejection of the displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip and added: Our position is that the two-state solution is the way to achieve peace and our rejection of displacement is firm and unchangeable. He stressed that Palestine is for the Palestinians and Jordan is for the Jordanians.
