The head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council in Sudan, Abdel -Fattah al -Burhan, affirmed that the consultations of political and societal forces aim to draw a road map for Sudanese dialogue, and to bring peace and political compatibility, and pointed out that “the door is still open to every person who stands a national position and biased to the national class.”
Al -Burhan said – in a speech at the end of the political forces consultations in Port Sudan – that the recommendations of these consultations will be taken into consideration to complete the march of the transitional period.
In his speech, Al -Burhan discussed several pivotal issues related to civil war, national dialogue and the future of the transitional period in Sudan. His speech began by honoring the martyrs of Sudan, who gave their lives in exchange for the homeland, with a focus on the martyrs of the “battle of dignity”.
He praised the role of the Sudanese people in supporting the armed forces during the war, saying: “Without the people’s support, the armed forces would not have done what they did.”
Al -Burhan welcomed the role of other regular forces, the joint forces and the enlightened people of various groups, who contributed to the steadfastness of the armed forces.
The role of political forces
Al -Burhan stressed the importance of the role of national and societal political forces in supporting the armed forces during the war, noting that these forces will be an integral part of achieving full victory throughout Sudan. He called for learning from the experience of war to build a new country that differs from the past.

Al -Burhan directed the competent authorities in the passports not to prevent any Sudanese citizen from obtaining the passport or identification papers, stressing, “We are not hostile to people because of their opinions.” He also added that everyone has the right to criticize the regime, but it has no right to “demolish the homeland or prejudice its principles.”
Forming a new government
Al -Burhan announced that the coming period will witness the formation of a new government to complete the duties of the transitional period, and can be called the “caretaker government” or “war government”. This government will be made up of independent national competencies that work to accomplish the remaining military tasks, including clearing Sudan from the rebels.
Al -Burhan renewed his refusal to negotiate with the rebels, saying, “Do not negotiate with the rebels unless they put weapons and leave the homes of citizens and civilian notables.”
He pointed to his refusal to stop the shooting during the month of Ramadan, stressing that any ceasefire must be accompanied by the withdrawal of the rebels from Khartoum, West Kordofan and the states of Darfur, and the assembly of their forces in specific centers.
Al -Burhan concluded his speech by emphasizing his determination to move towards building a strong and stable Sudanese state, capable of playing an important role in the future.
