A possible postponement of the emergency Arab summit in Egypt

The Assistant Secretary -General of the League of Arab States, Ambassador Hossam Zaki, announced that the date of the emergency Arab summit scheduled to be held in Egypt on February 27 may change to another date, due to considerations related to the tables of the leaders of the participating countries.
In statements, Zaki stressed that Egypt’s keenness to attend the largest number of leaders to ensure the success of the summit is the main motivation for any possible postponement, stressing that the reasons will be purely logistical.
Zaki explained that the summit aims to formulate a powerful and powerful Arab position on the Palestinian issue, especially in light of the rejection of the displacement plan that was presented from the Israeli side and was later adopted by the American administration.
Zaki stressed that the primary goal of the summit is to support the Palestinian people and enhance their resilience, with the issuance of an official document that reflects this position.
Zaki stressed that the Arab position towards US President Donald Trump’s plan on Gaza will fully nourish at the start of the official dialogue with the American side, stressing that the basis is to respect the will of the Palestinian people and their right to self -determination.
He explained that the main question is whether the American plan aims to evacuate Gaza from its residents and displace the Palestinians or is it a means of re -negotiating the future of government in the Strip.
