Israel reveals the details of the proposal to extend the truce and plan to escalate news

Israel revealed today, Sunday, the details of the American proposal to extend the temporary truce in Gaza, while Israeli sources said that the Benjamin Netanyahu government is studying additional escalatory steps after stopping aid to the sector.
The Axius news website quoted Israeli Foreign Minister Gazaoun Saar as saying that the American envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkev presented a proposal that included extending the temporary truce for an additional 50 days.
For his part, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that a proposal Wittakouf stipulates that on the first day of the extended armistice the release of half of the living prisoners and half of the bodies of the deceased.
The proposal indicates that during the extension period, negotiations will take place to reach a permanent ceasefire.
In the event that an agreement is reached on a permanent truce, the rest of the neighboring detainees and the detained bodies will be released.
According to the ceasefire agreement, it was assumed to start negotiating the second stage after the end of the first stage yesterday, Saturday.
Sources revealed to the island the details of what happened during the past 48 hours between the Israeli negotiating delegation and the mediators during talks in Cairo.
The sources told the island that Israel requested in exchange for the extension of the first stage for a week to release Hamas from prisoners of neighborhoods and bodies to prepare for the second stage.
Israel asked Hamas to release 5 neighborhood prisoners and 10 bodies compared to a number of Palestinian prisoners and increase aid.
The sources stated that Israel requested through the mediators the return of Hamas to this proposal before midnight on Friday, but the movement informed the mediators its rejection of the Israeli proposals and considered it a violation of what was agreed upon, and expressed its adherence to implementation of what was agreed upon and signed through the mediators.
Escalatory steps
The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation has quoted sources described by the informed that Netanyahu will continue to stop the shooting for at least a week until the arrival of the American envoy Steve Wittouf next Thursday.
It also quoted close associates of Netanyahu that the Prime Minister does not believe that the implementation of the second stage of the deal is possible.
The sources said that escalating steps against Hamas to pressure it may start next week, noting that stopping the entry of aid to Gaza is part of the first stage.
In the context, the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation quoted informed sources in Israel that the possibility of stopping the supply of the Gaza Strip is discussed with water.
In the same context, the Jerusalem Post quoted Israeli officials that Hamas had been granted a few days to reach an agreement to release more “hostages.”
These officials said that if it becomes clear to them that negotiations are not in good faith, Israel would return to fighting in Gaza, as they put it.
Meanwhile, Israeli Foreign Minister Gazaoun Saar said that Israel was ready to negotiate the second stage of the ceasefire agreement “based on its principles”, adding that negotiation without liberating the “hostages” is rejected.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced earlier today to stop the entry of aid and supplies to Gaza.
This coincided with Israeli attacks on Gaza, which resulted in the death of 4 Palestinians and the injury of others.
While Netanyahu’s decision was welcomed by the Minister of Finance in Salafel Smotrich and former National Security Minister Intar bin Ghaffir, Interior Minister Moshe Erbil called for ahead with the second stage of the ceasefire agreement.
The Institute of Israeli National Security Studies stated that Israel is entering a stage where there is no clear path to restore Israeli prisoners from Gaza, noting that the time is not in the interest of Israel because Hamas makes returning to war more difficult.

A coup against the agreement
On the other hand, Hamas said that the decision to stop humanitarian aid is a cheap blackmail, a war crime, and a traveled coup against the agreement.
The movement added Hamas that the Israeli Prime Minister is trying to impose political facts on the ground after his army failed to establish them for 15 months, and that the allegations of the occupation regarding the movement’s violation of the ceasefire agreement are only misleading and baseless allegations.
She pointed out that Netanyahu and his government violate the 14th item of the agreement, which stipulates the continuation of the procedures of the first stage in the second stage, and confirmed its commitment to implement the agreement in its three stages, and announced its willingness to start negotiations for the second stage.
For its part, the Islamic Jihad movement described the closure of Netanyahu the Gaza Strip crossings and the prevention of the entry of humanitarian aid as a violation of the ceasefire agreement and the beginning of a new aggressive stage against the Strip, and this step as a crime against humanity.

One deal
Meanwhile, the families of the remaining Israeli prisoners in Gaza demanded that US President Donald Trump concluded a better deal for prisoners.
The families said – in a statement – that they want one deal to restore all the prisoners at once, and warned against the consequences of postponing negotiations.
Earlier today, Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper quoted family families to Hamas that Netanyahu’s decision to prevent aid to the entry of Gaza is dangerous and that they were afraid of the lives of the prisoners.
Members of the families of a number of remaining prisoners in Gaza accused the Netanyahu government of violating the ceasefire agreement.
The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation reported that large crowds demonstrated this evening off the house of the Israeli Prime Minister in protest against the lack of progress for the second stage.
Before that, the Haaretz newspaper reported that protesters demonstrated off the homes of a number of Israeli government ministers, demanding the continued implementation of the ceasefire agreement.
