Arab and regional condemnation to try to target the convoy of the Somali President

The Secretary -General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, expressed his condemnation of the blatant terrorist attack that attempted to target the procession of the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Dr. Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud, by an attack by the terrorist youth movement in the capital, Mogadishu.
In a statement, Aboul Gheit affirmed the full support of the Arab League and its solidarity with the Federal Republic of Somalia in the face of terrorism and all forms of extremism, calling for the concerted international efforts to eradicate terrorism from its roots and dry its financing sources.
For his part, the President of the Arab Parliament, Muhammad bin Ahmed Al -Yamahi, strongly condemned the assassination of the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Dr. Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud; As a result of the explosion of an explosive device during the passage of his convoy; This led to victims and injured.
Al -Yamahi affirmed the solidarity of the full Arab parliament with Somalia in this accurate circumstance, and its complete rejection of all forms of terrorism that aims to destabilize the security and stability of the Arab region.
The President of the Arab Parliament expressed my sincere condolences and sincere sympathy to the Federal Republic of Somalia and its people and to the families of the victims, calling on the Lord – Glory be to Him – to grant those with a speedy recovery.
