China denies sending soldiers to participate in the Ukrainian conflict

Agencies – Beijing:
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman, Lin Jian, confirmed that China has not sent its soldiers to participate in the Ukrainian conflict, and that the country’s authorities are asking its citizens to avoid engaging in combat actions.
Jian said in a press conference in response to a question from a Ukrainian journalist: “The Chinese government has always asked its citizens to stay away from the armed conflict zone (in Ukraine), and avoid engaging in any way, especially refraining from participating in military operations in favor of any of the parties.”
A spokesman for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Beijing is verifying information related to the allegations of the participation of Chinese citizens in the Russian private military operation.
Ukrainian President Folodimir Zellinski announced on Tuesday that his forces arrested two Chinese citizens fighting alongside the Russian forces, adding that Kiev wanted a “clarification” from Beijing and a “reaction” from its Western allies. Ukraine summoned the Chinese ambassador after the capture of two Chinese in the front.
