What do we know about the extremist Zionist organization that incited Mahmoud Khalil? | policy

A month from now, on Saturday, March 8, members of the US Department of Internal Security (DHS) made the kidnapping of Mahmoud Khalil, who had held the position of negotiator for the “Solidarity Camp with Gaza” at the University of Colombia.
Mahmoud Khalil is a Palestinian holding permanent residence in the United States, and he was returning to his university apartment after a breakfast banquet, when customers faced him. He and his pregnant wife, Dr. Nour Abdullah, an American citizen, told him that his “academic visa” was canceled, and they falsely claimed that they were holding an arrest warrant against him. When his wife presented a permanent residence card (Green Card), the customer seemed to be confused, and he said on the phone: “He holds a permanent residence card,” but when Mahmoud’s lawyer tried to intervene over the phone, the customer cut off the call.
Mahmoud Khalil had a master’s degree from the “International and Public Affairs School” at Columbia University at the end of December 2023, but he was taken to a detention facility affiliated with Immigration and Customs (ICE) in Louisiana, more than a thousand miles away. The purpose of that was his isolation from his wife, his lawyer, and his community, in light of the direct threat to his deportation.
But Mahmoud Khalil was not alone. Within 24 hours, the “Constitutional Rights Center” in cooperation with the “Clear Accounting Project” (CLEAR) entered, to challenge his arrest and detention. On Monday, a federal judge arrested the deportation order, and set a hearing on Wednesday in the Manhattan Court, after which Mahmoud was finally allowed to communicate with his lawyer.
In the hours that followed his kidnapping, independent media and social media platforms flared up with denunciation, anger and legal and political analyzes. Many have indicated that Khalil, as a permanent resident in the United States, has all the rights of the American citizen, except for the right to vote.
Representative of the Congress, Barmela Javal, published a leaflet saying: “The Trump administration is targeting students who practiced their constitutional right to the first amendment. This is unacceptable. The deportation of legal residents only because of their political opinions is a violation of freedom of expression rights.
As for White House officials, they claimed that Khalil was a “threat to national security services”, without noting that he “violated the law.” However, they were unable to provide a legitimate charge or concrete evidence of a crime.
The Electronic Intefada platform was also written: “While the government can cancel the residence holders of the permanent residence card in specific cases, it may not be arbitrary.
Activists anti -genocide moved quickly, as thousands of demonstrators invaded the streets of New York City in the following days, as an expression of their solidarity, and gathered extensively before the New York Court. By Thursday, 100 people were arrested during a sit -in organized by the “Jewish Voice for Peace” inside Trump Tower.
US President Donald Trump has announced his commitment to cutting federal funding for universities accused of “tolerance with anti -Semitism”, and Colombia was the first.
On the day before the kidnapping, his administration cut $ 400 million of federal funding at the university, claiming that it “failed to take steps to confront anti -Semitism.” Soon, the university agreed to cooperate with the federal government in “humiliated Khalab of Trump”, and declared “its commitment to fight anti -Semitism.”
Colombia has published its instructions to the faculty members and employees, urging them to “not interfere” with immigration and customs agents, even if these customers are not able to present an arrest warrant. When President Trump boasted through his Truth Social platform that he had arrested Khalil, he also threatened that he would “follow him more”, not only in Colombia, but in “other universities across the country.”
Like many Arab and Muslim students, Khalil was subjected to the day before his illegal detention, to the active campaigns of Zionism, and he appealed to the university administration to protect, stressing that he was subjected to a “inhuman distortion” campaign on the Internet (Doxxing), and said that “their attacks were incited to a wave of hatred, including calls for deportation and threats of deaths,” but Columbia did not respond.
Israeli pressure groups, such as the Canary Mission, have suppressed freedom of expression in American universities for years. Although this group claimed that it was behind the arrest of Khalil, a less famous extremist Zionist organization seems to have played the most prominent role in his arrest.
This organization was established in 1923 by a fan of Moussalini, and it was revived in 2023, so that the “Anti -Defamation Association” (a Jewish pressure group) (ADL) is considered a hate organization.
This supportive group of extremist Zionism, which boasted about the arrest of Mahmoud, is called “Betar-“.
Last November, the New York Post wrote a praise for Betar-USA for gathering lists of foreign students, and its boast of identifying 30 students from countries such as Jordan, Syria, Egypt, Canada, and the United Kingdom, who study in some of the most prominent American universities, including Colombia, the University of Pennsylvania, the University of California, and the College of “The New School” for research Social, and others.
Its president, Ross Glick, said that he hopes to give “President -elect Trump” “the Karah of Israel … a ticket without return to their country.” The newspaper did not refer to the nature of this organization or its history and practices, which “simulate the tactics and symbols of fascism, including wearing brown shirts and using special greetings.”
Betar is seeking to alliance with the “Prous Boys” group, with a well -known record in anti -Semitism and Islamophobia, with the aim of “confronting Islamic jihadists.” (It is noteworthy that the leader of “Braud Boys”, Enrique Tario, was sentenced to 22 years in prison for his violence in the events of January 6, and he was recently released with a pardon from Trump).
Recently, Betar-USA boasted to the “The Guardian” that it had a “deportation list” containing thousands of names that I sent to Trump administration officials, including Foreign Minister Marco Rubio, who personally approved the kidnapping of Khalil. Most of the names in the list had American entry visas (and this may explain why the Ministry of Internal Security agents believe that Khalil holds a student visa, instead of permanent residence).
Betar-United States rarely mentioned in the traditional media, but the Middle East Eye website revealed that this group is chasing the activists who support Palestine, including American Jews, and Khalil reported that he received threatening hatred messages from them. The group also destroyed property, and “explicitly called for retaliatory actions of the type of militia against the student protesters.”
The Global News Hub has published a video of the Sunaer Vitman (for Pennsylvania), saying to the right -wing right -wing militia, Ross Glick, that he “loves” the threat of the bomb they launched against the branch of “Students for Justice in Palestine” at the University of Pittsburgh.
Betar-United States has been banned from “dead” platforms because of this “joke”. It also issued deaths similar to the execution of writer Peter Pinart and others. The irony is that the advocates of “Betar” claim that the students stated in their lists “are barking America.”
Later, Ross Glick lost his position as President of the “Betar-United States” after being convicted in New York on charges of “pornographic revenge” crimes. Most press reports have not linked his sexual deviations and his relationship to the right -wing Zionist Zionist group.
Many analysts have truly argued that the Israeli genocide in Gaza represents the greatest threat to freedom of expression and human rights in the United States. The kidnapping of Khalil, and the extremist forces behind him, shows the extent of the imbalance of the new administration, and reveals its unprecedented actions in violating the constitution, which launched the way towards tyranny.
The prominent professor in the Jewish history of the University of California in Los Angeles, David Maires, described President Trump’s administration as “arming and politicizing anti -Semitism for political purposes.” Myers considered the “Betar” list for the phases “terrifying”, but it is not surprising, given what this group represents historically-that is, “the adoption of Jewish fascism.”
He stressed that these attacks are not only related to the protection of Jewish students, but that the American president and his allies are “really interested in subjugating the university and excluding it from the American political scene as a liberal progressive and effective party.” Trump’s repeated threats outside the framework of the law and the arrest of Khalil reveals an accelerated slide towards the speech of political repression and complete fascism.
