Thwarting plans targeting national security and arresting 16 involved

The Jordanian security authorities thwarted plans targeting national security and provoking chaos inside Jordan, and the Minister of Information, the official spokesman for the Jordanian government, Muhammad al -Momani, said that the General Intelligence Department managed to thwart the plan and arrest all those involved in those activities that the department followed with vigilance and competence since 2021.
Al -Momani stated during a press conference yesterday, Tuesday, that those involved in these illegal actions were arrested after the completion of their threads and the evidence of evidence, indicating that these works, which were four major cases, were involved in 16 elements within groups that were carrying out separate tasks.
These issues included the manufacture of short-range missiles with a range of 3-5 km, possession of explosive materials and automatic weapons, hiding a missile equipped for use, and a project to manufacture drones, in addition to recruiting and training elements inside Jordan and subjecting them to training abroad.
Al -Momani announced that those accused of previous cases were referred to the State Security Court of charges assigned to them, in contrast to the provisions of the Terrorism Prevention Law, after the end of the investigation procedures with them and the approved by the Public Prosecutor of the State Security Court for the decision to think that they are associated with their right and in accordance with the provisions of the law.
On the other hand, the Brotherhood in Jordan denied any connection to the plans that the Jordanian government revealed recently, stressing that what was circulated during the press conference and the following media course are “individual works that the group has no knowledge of and has no connection with it.”
