The Kingdom welcomes Britain’s determination to recognize the Palestinian state and support for a two -state solution

Riyadh – London – SPA:
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia welcoming the announcement of British Prime Minister Kiir Starmer’s intention to recognize and support the Palestinian state for a two -state solution.
She said in a statement: “The Kingdom renewed its call to the international community and peace -loving countries to take serious steps to implement international decisions that confirm the original right of the Palestinian people to establish an independent state on the borders of 1967 AD with East Jerusalem as its capital.”
British Prime Minister Kiir Starmer had informed his ministers yesterday that Britain will recognize the State of Palestine next September unless the Israeli government takes fundamental steps to end the “horrific situation” in Gaza and have died on other conditions.
The British government said in a statement, “(Starmer) said that the United Kingdom will recognize the State of Palestine in September, before the United Nations General Assembly, unless the Israeli government takes fundamental steps to end the horrific situation in Gaza, reach a ceasefire, and explain that there will be no inclusion in the West Bank and a commitment to a long -term peace process that leads to a two -state solution.”
British Prime Minister Kiir Starmer took this decision after he summoned his government from the summer vacation to discuss a new peace plan that is being worked on in cooperation with other European leaders, and how to deliver more humanitarian aid to Gaza.
