European sanctions will not affect Russia

Russia has renewed its criticism of the European Union, which is preparing to impose a new sanctions package. “The European Union continues its aggressive approach towards Russia, wrongly, that the sanctions will affect its policy,” said the Kremlin spokesman Dimitri Peskov.
While he stressed that his country is “open to negotiations on Ukraine and prefers to settle the situation by political and diplomatic means.” In addition, the Kremlin explained that there is a stop in the prisoners ’exchanges between the Russian and Ukrainian sides, but it may resume in the future.
He also stressed that the contacts between Russia and the United States are continuing, including between the administrations of US President Donald Trump and Russian Vladimir Putin.
Simultaneously, Poland called on European countries to stop importing Russian energy, and Trump yesterday repeated the same demand. While Germany confirmed that Moscow should not specify the conditions of peace with Kyiv.
