The military and strategic expert, Major General Fayez Al -Duwairi, confirmed the failure of the occupation’s defenses to reveal the Yemeni manager, who reached its goal in Eilat, despite the long distance of about 2100 km, which was supposed to be discovered flying over the sea at a low level.
Today, Wednesday, Israeli media sources reported that 22 people, including two in a serious condition, were injured, as a result of the fall and explosion of the manager from Yemen in a tourist area in the city of Eilat, southern Israel.
According to the Israeli police, the fall of the manager, in Eilat, caused material injuries and damage, while a field evaluation of the situation.
The Israeli Army Radio revealed that Al -Massrai was stuck at a low altitude above the ground, which made the iron dome to intercede, which explains an aspect of defensive failure.
In this context, Al -Duwairi emphasized that the geographical nature of the Eilat region as a beach city is completely different from northern Palestine, where the misfortunes were launched from Lebanon through distances close to the eastern Bekaa region through wavy and mountainous geography.
He explained that the Yemeni march took a completely different path over the sea out of respect for the Saudi and Egyptian atmosphere.
In addition to the failure of early detection, an additional failure occurred in dealing with the march despite its discovery and follow -up on television, and according to the military expert, this is due to the limitation of relying on the iron dome system without using multiple means such as combat aircraft or helicopters.
The development of the Houthi capabilities
On the effectiveness of this defensive system, Al -Duwairi condemned promotional allegations that indicate a success rate of 95% in missile interception, stressing that accurate and statistical follow -up through previous wars shows that the actual success rate of 65 to 70% against missiles only, and in theory, was expected to achieve greater success against the enlightenings due to the slow relative movement.
However, the technical development changed the equation, as it pointed to the dependence of modern marches on two advanced systems: the automatic pilot (the plane controller) and the ground pilot (router or dominant), and this enables it to implement sharp maneuvers that are difficult to intercept even with advanced systems.
Regarding the development of the capabilities of the Ansar Allah group (the Houthis), Al -Duwairi stressed that this matter is not surprising, stressing the existence of cumulative experience since 2005 in the use of drones and missiles against neighboring countries.
Since October 7 specifically, there is a semi -continuous use and improvement of capabilities, which have been crowned with the development of a series of “Samad” aircraft running from the first to the fourth version.
He explained that this gradient technical development enabled the last runner to overcome the Israeli radar system, citing that an attempt to intercede had to launch two missiles according to the rules of air defense work, but both failed to achieve its goal.
This operation comes within the framework of the ongoing confrontation that Ansar Allah group started since November 2023 against Israel in support of Gaza, which extended to include a confrontation with the United States, before reaching an agreement with Washington to put an end to mutual strikes in the marine corridors in the region.
