The White House announced yesterday, Wednesday, Washington holds sensitive talks on the Gaza plan, and a White House spokesman confirmed that the deadline for the return of Hamas is still as it is.
Meanwhile, the Qatari Emiri Diwan said in a statement: The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, discussed during a telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump on Wednesday, Trump’s plan to end the war in the Gaza Strip, and the statement added that Prince Tamim renewed the assertion of Qatar’s support for the efforts of peace, expressing his confidence in the ability of the countries supporting the plan to reach a fair settlement that guarantees security and stability in the region and ensuring the rights of the Palestinian people.
Trump had given Hamas between 3 and 4 days to hand over its response to the American proposal, otherwise she faced a dark fate -according to his expression -while a Palestinian official close to Hamas explained that the latter began studying the proposal, pointing out that the discussions may take days.
A source from Hamas revealed that the movement asked the Qatari and Egyptian brokers to clarify some of the items and points mentioned in the plan, adding that it confirmed to the brokers the right to make some amendments to the plan as long as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did the same.
The source indicated that the movement asked that the sector’s administration be through a Palestinian, not international committee, and also called for Hamas to differentiate between the offensive and defensive weapons.
