Messi and Benzema will affect Salah’s future
Robbie Fowler, the English legend of Liverpool, believes that the departure of the duo Lionel Messi from Paris Saint-Germain to Inter Miami and Karim Benzema from Real Madrid to Al Ittihad Jeddah during the past week will affect the future of Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, as the top scorer has become a rare currency in European football.
Fowler wrote in his article in the Daily Mirror newspaper: Lewandowski will most likely retire in Barcelona, Haaland and Mbappe will not be available this summer, so that Harry Kane and Mohamed Salah will remain on the market, in addition to Neymar.
And he continued: For months, I believed that Salah would be targeted in the summer transfer market, and today it would not be surprising for me that Paris Saint-Germain or Real Madrid would come to obtain his services this summer.
And he continued: Today, all clubs are looking for a top scorer, specifically Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, after the departure of Messi and Benzema, as well as the ambiguity of Neymar’s position, and certainly the French club will push with all force to sign a replacement star for Lionel, and Salah may be the first choice.
Mohamed Salah will be absent from the Champions League for the first time since his move to Liverpool, England, in the summer of 2017, after Liverpool finished fifth, and the player went out on Twitter to express his dissatisfaction with his team’s absence from the important European competition.
