Tunisia is witnessing a record high temperature during this period, which is expected to continue until the end of this month, which raised fears of a recurrence of the fires of past years, which caused damage to vast areas of the country’s forest cover.
During the same period last year, Tunisia recorded more than 10 fires involving several forests, which caused the loss of about 500 hectares of forests, the most serious of which was the fire in Mount Boukornine, south of the capital Tunis, which took several days to extinguish the fire inside.
