Paris offers one billion euros to link Mbappe to a “lifetime” contract

Press reports revealed that Paris Saint-Germain is preparing to present its largest ever offer to its star, Kylian Mbappe, in order to end the crisis that flared up in the current transfer market between the player and the French capital club.

Mbappe informed the Paris Saint-Germain administration last month that he would not activate the third-year extension clause in his contract with the club, which he signed in May 2022, as he wanted to leave after the end of next season, in a decision that was interpreted by French media sources as coming in order to obtain the loyalty reward in the contract amounting to 40 million euros, which is due to be paid on the 31st of this month.

The player also attacked the management of the Parisian club, describing the team as “divided” and that continuing with him would not help him achieve achievements on the individual and collective levels.

And the Spanish newspaper “Defensa Central” indicated that Nasser Al-Khulaifi, President of Saint-Germain, agreed to make an offer that would make Mbappe the highest-paid athlete ever in history, with a contract of one billion euros.

And she confirmed that this amount will be divided into the longest contract in the history of European football, as it will extend for 10 or 11 seasons, or more precisely, the club will keep the 24-year-old until his retirement.

And the newspaper continued in its report, according to sources close to the player, that he will not take into account any sums of money, and that what matters to him in the coming period is the sports project and not the economic gain, so he will not accept this huge offer if it is presented to him.

Mbappe moved to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2017 on loan from his compatriot Monaco, before that move turned into a permanent transfer a year later for 180 million euros, which made him the second most expensive player in history behind his Brazilian teammate Neymar, who moved from Barcelona for 222 million euros.
