Hundreds of thousands of goods were stolen from the Louis Vuitton store in Paris in just 4 minutes Miscellaneous
The famous Louis Vuitton luxury fashion store in Paris was robbed last Monday morning, as 4 thieves managed to escape before the police arrived.
The robbery occurred at 4:30 am on Saint-Germain Street in the sixth district of the French capital, where the thieves stormed the store’s gate using a vehicle and stole more than a hundred items worth more than hundreds of thousands of euros in just 4 minutes.
According to witnesses at the scene, the thieves used a vehicle to break into the store before stealing luxury items.
Security forces quickly moved to the scene, where investigations were assigned to the Anti-Robbery Brigade of the Paris Judicial Police. Members of the Third Judicial District, in addition to the Fifth and Sixth Districts, are participating in the investigation.
Saint-Germain-des-Prés is a luxury shopping area that includes many high-end fashion stores such as “Hermes”, “Cartier” and “Dior”. Louis Vuitton stores are frequent targets of theft, having witnessed several similar incidents in the United States and France.
Last year, the French city of Lille witnessed a similar robbery attempt targeting the Louis Vuitton store, where the thieves tried to break into the store using a vehicle, but they failed.
In 2021, goods worth $100,000 were stolen from the Louis Vuitton store in Chicago, while San Francisco witnessed a similar incident where the thieves managed to escape with the goods before the police arrived.
