Will the West allow Ukraine to use long-range Storm Shadow cruise missiles? | policy
In a remarkable development in the Ukrainian-Russian conflict, the “Storm Shadow” missile has emerged as an effective strategic weapon in Kiev’s arsenal.
This British-French cruise missile, which is air-launched with a range of more than 250 kilometres, has a speed of nearly the speed of sound before exploding, making it an ideal tool for penetrating fortified sites and weapons depots.
“Storm Shadow” has proven to be very effective in confronting Russian military challenges, especially in targeting airports from which attacks with sliding bombs are launched, which constituted an obstacle to the progress of Ukrainian forces on the front lines.
The capabilities of this missile were clearly demonstrated in the painful strike that Kiev directed at the Russian headquarters in the Black Sea in Sevastopol.
