Demonstrations in international cities in support of Palestine and Lebanon news
European and international cities witnessed marches and protests in support of the Gaza Strip on the one-year anniversary of the start of the war on it, and to denounce the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in Gaza, the West Bank and Lebanon.
The British capital, London, witnessed a major march in support of the Gaza Strip, in which the demonstrators demanded an end to the “genocide” committed by Israel against the Palestinian people, calling on the British government to stop what they described as British collusion with Israel and to stop arms trade with it completely.
Political figures participated in this demonstration, including former leader of the Labor Party (currently independent) Jeremy Corbyn and former Scottish Prime Minister Hamza Yusuf.
The demonstrators chanted several slogans, including: “Stop the bombing,” “Free, free Palestine,” and “Stop bombing hospitals,” in addition to slogans criticizing Prime Minister Keir Starmer, including: “You cannot hide, we will charge you with genocide.”
While a similar demonstration took place on Saturday in the Irish capital, Dublin, and another in Edinburgh, Scotland, the streets of the German city of Hamburg witnessed a demonstration in solidarity with the Palestinians and to denounce the Israeli war on Gaza, with the one-year anniversary of the war.
The demonstrators roamed some of the streets of those cities, raising Palestinian flags and banners denouncing the war, and chanting to stop the Israeli war on Gaza and lift the siege on the residents of the Strip.
In France, the capital, Paris, and the city of Strasbourg witnessed demonstrations in support of the Palestinian and Lebanese people and to denounce the ongoing Israeli war on Gaza for the 365th day.
Protesters in Stockholm organized a demonstration against the Israeli attacks on Gaza and Lebanon, carrying Palestinian and Lebanese flags in a march from Odenplan Square to the Swedish Foreign Ministry.
In Japan, protesters organized a candlelight vigil in Tokyo denouncing the ongoing Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, calling for a ceasefire and the provision of humanitarian aid to the besieged Strip.

Hundreds of people also demonstrated in downtown Cape Town on Saturday, waving Palestinian flags and chanting anti-Israel slogans in a pro-Gaza demonstration on the first anniversary of the war on the Gaza Strip.
The demonstrators carried banners accusing Israel of committing genocide and racism, and many of them marched to Parliament in a protest organized by the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, stressing that they support the lawsuit filed by their country against Israel before the International Court of Justice.
This comes as part of demonstrations taking place in several international cities, denouncing the occupation army’s ongoing war on Gaza since the seventh of last October, leaving tens of thousands martyred, wounded and missing, amid a humanitarian situation described as catastrophic and a worsening famine looming over the besieged Strip.
