Explosion near the Israeli embassy in Denmark
Agencies – Copenhagen:
Police in Copenhagen announced that they heard an explosion at night near the Israeli embassy in Denmark, five days after a similar attack occurred next to this diplomatic mission.
Copenhagen Police Inspector Trine Mueller told reporters: “We are of course trying to determine whether there is a connection to the incident that occurred at the Israeli embassy” last week.
At the beginning of October, two explosions occurred next to the Israeli embassy in Denmark, and the police believed that they were caused by two hand grenades, in light of the escalation of tension in the Middle East. Two Swedish youth, aged 16 and 19, are suspected of transporting five hand grenades and throwing two of them, which landed on a balcony about 100 meters away from the diplomatic building, according to the prosecution. On Thursday, the judge ordered their detention for 27 days. Two days later, the police announced that the charges against them had been extended to include crimes under the Terrorism Law, without revealing further details
