The Guardian: X platform suspends a new Hebrew-language account for Khamenei news
The Guardian newspaper reported that the social media platform “X” suspended a new account in the name of the Iranian leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, that posted messages in the Hebrew language.
According to the newspaper, the account was suspended early Monday with a short note attached to it saying, “X suspends accounts that violate its rules,” without clarifying the nature of this violation.
Khamenei opened an account in Hebrew on the “X” platform on Sunday, and published the first post in Hebrew for the basmala (In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful).
As for the second post, it included phrases delivered by the Iranian leader in his speech yesterday, Sunday, and published on his account in English as well, and the tweet stated, “The Zionists are making a grave mistake regarding Iran. They do not know Iran, and they have not yet been able to properly understand the strength, initiative, and determination of the Iranian people.” “.
Media outlets previously reported that Khamenei’s (85 years old) accounts on the Facebook and Instagram platforms – owned by Meta – were suspended due to what was said to be support from the guide of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation against Israel.
Khamenei tweeted on the anniversary of October 7 in Hebrew, saying, “The Al-Aqsa Flood operation set the Zionist entity back 70 years.”
