We will not allow any government to impose on the Sudanese people

Abdel -Fattah al -Burhan, the head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council in Sudan, addressed the United Nations and the African Union, saying that the Sudanese people “will not be imposed by any government” and the international community “should not make an effort to try to return outcast figures” to Sudan.

The Sudanese army has been fighting a war against the “Rapid Support Forces” since April 2023, after disputes over plans to integrate “rapid support” into the armed forces, during a political operation to move to civil rule.
