China confirms its support for Iran in facing challenges

China has confirmed its support for Iran in protecting its sovereignty and facing what Beijing described as “hegemony and dominance” policies.

The media reported that the Chinese Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, informed his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araqji, that China will continue to support Iran to protect its national sovereignty and dignity, and in “resisting domination and domination policies”.

“China attaches importance to Iran’s commitment to not developing nuclear weapons and respects its right to the peaceful use of nuclear energy,” said Wang, according to a statement issued by his ministry.

Wang stressed Beijing’s readiness to continue to play a constructive role in promoting the settlement of the Iranian nuclear issue and maintaining stability in the Middle East, adding that China appreciates Tehran’s efforts to achieve peace through diplomacy.
