Details of the tension between the Houthis and the former ruling Popular Congress Party policy
The Ansar Allah group (the Houthis) has made strong warnings and accusations of “betrayal and mercenaries” to leaders and elements in the former ruling Popular Congress Party and their partner in Sanaa, accompanied by a talk about a “plan” being implemented under the guidance of “Zionist intelligence agencies”.
The leader of the group, Abd al -Malik al -Houthi, in a television speech – issued a warning “to everyone who begged himself to stand with the Israeli enemy from the tools of betrayal, treachery and criminality,” stressing that their position will be “firm and decisive with these tools.”
After the speech, the Houthi media, activists and leaders of the Houthi launched a campaign that discloses a “plan to target the Yemeni home front, through local tools supported from abroad, moving within party and demanding headlines, apparent in the interest of the citizen, expression, demonstrations, and the establishment of party activities and activities, and the interior of conspiracy and betrayal in the service of the Zionists.”

Al -Assad said on his page on the X platform that “the conspiracy tools use the anniversary of the party’s founding as a starting point for fueling and moving the Yemeni street and some elements related to the remains of a Saleh project, by raising slogans that exploit economic suffering as civil demands, but in fact it is an intelligence arm to serve the projects of the Israeli enemy, its aim is to create a popular internal movement and then an external military move against Ansar Allah and the position of Sana’a For the resistance in Gaza. “
He considered that the Houthi warning is not only a deterrent “but an early reference to revealing the conspiracy before it occurred, and that whoever drops the sedition and the 2017 conspiracy will crush the 2025 conspiracy and will fail in front of the people’s awareness, the stiffness of the army, the vigilance of security and the cohesion of leadership.”
It seems that a documentary film broadcast by an Arab news channel that provoked the Houthis, especially since he spoke about the “last battle” of the late President Ali Saleh, in which he narrated his death narration by the Houthis in an armed ambush outside Sanaa while he was trying to reach the Afash fort in his hometown and tribe in the Sanhan region, during the battle of December 2017.

Political researcher Abdel Aziz Al -Majeedi believes that this ruling highlights “a major paradox image, as he has not adopted a clear position on the Houthis after the killing of Saleh, and Ahmed Ali is the position of the party’s vice president in Sanaa, which is the remainder of the party who adheres to his partnership with the Houthis and complains about his exclusion from the authority, while the conference president, Sadiq Abu Ras, is a deputy of the Houthi leader Mahdi Al -Mashat, Chairman of the Supreme Political Council (the Governing Council in Sana’a).
Al -Majeedi says to Al -Jazeera Net that the Houthis precede their concerns about Ali Saleh’s inheritance and his political body represented by the popular conference, so they initiate from time to time to take steps, despite the rigidity of the party’s activities and movements and the lack of attractiveness of Ahmed Ali as a possible heir to his father, as well as the state of the hibernation in which he lives.
He pointed to the absence of any justifications for the explanation of the death sentence “other than making an issue that allows the Houthis to escalate and take security measures based on allegations more than facts, especially as they are always applicable, and they live within a state of constant concern from any local, regional or international developments.”
International move
Al -Majeedi does not rule out that “the most obsessed of the Houthis is the influence that Saleh had been in the army and pushed them to participate in controlling Sanaa, and the army, with most of its human and armament capabilities, became under their control.”
He continued, “There is no apparent reason indicating a regional or international desire to care for a political role for Saleh’s son, and nothing was called for the Houthis’ concern. The documentary film about the last battle in favor of them may have wanted to say anything, but Ahmed Ali is not that hero who indirectly wanted the film.”
For his part, the leader of the Congress Party, Adel Al -Shuja, believes that the Houthis “despite the long period they spent in confiscating state institutions and using excessive force to suppress people with the power of arms, but they feel that they are a separate body from the people and that they do not have a popular incubator who accepts them, so they live in the state of continuous fear.”
In an interview with Al -Jazeera Net, the courage said, “The most important entity that the Houthis fear is the General People’s Congress, as it is a penetration in the military, tribal, administrative and popular community, and he is the owner of the December 2 uprising that separated the Republicans and the Imamis.”
Regarding the issue of the death sentence on Saleh’s son, he saw that the Houthis “are aware of the presence of Ahmed Ali at all political and military levels, and the international move that is looking for an alternative leadership of what is available in popularity.”
